As Central Florida native photographers, it’s rare that we get to shoot a Lakeland wedding. Orlando and Tampa weddings keep us pretty busy through the year. But man, do we love when those hometown opportunities come. We get to explore right in our backyard, cut down on travel time (woohoo), and are able to utilize familiar places in Lakeland. But McKenna and Nolan’s day was special for more than just those reasons. We met these two from one of Evan’s previous jobs, and had known them for a while prior to this day. We had done two sessions with them as well leading up to their engagement, both of them delivering some of our favorite photos ever. From the start of working with them years ago, we could see how in love they truly were and always admired their connection. McKenna’s fun-loving personality that lights up any room, and Nolan’s calming, kind manner makes for just the sweetest connection.
Getting to know them on and off camera has been a lovely experience. We’re so honored that they chose us to take part in this day. It was one of those days where we truly felt like we were just attending a party with friends (because we were <3) and it was nothing short of magical.
