Oh the charming Nashville, Tennessee… where my heart feels at home and my tastebuds live their best life (STILL dreaming about that Hattie B’s hot chicken). As i’ve mentioned many times before, I grew up in TN, and only about 2 hours from Music City. And let me tell you, I really regret not visiting this place more often after our trip this past January. When we were thinking of a place to spend our anniversary, we felt strongly attracted to the culture of this city and decided that it would be the perfect place to unwind and toss in some killer work for the portfolio at the same time.
So, that’s where Nastacia and Austin come in. This adorable pair has been following and sharing our work for quite a while now. Nastacia and I were actually friends through middle school and we stayed in touch through social media as the years went on. I always remembered her as a really great friend, and hoped we would be able to get in touch again somehow. The universe really has a funny way of bringing people back together that are meant to be reunited, doesn’t it? Last year, she even reached out for a session while they were in Florida, but things didn’t line up in our favor at the time. So, fast forward a few months later, and she ended up being the very first person to ask for a Nashville session when I announced our travel dates. We immediately said, “hell yes” because DUH and couldn’t wait to finally catch up with her and shoot some rad photos with these two loves.
Austin and Nastacia met and got married rather quickly, so they never had the opportunity to get “real” wedding photos taken. When I learned this, you KNOW ya girl had to be sure we went all out for them. The four of us spent the whole day catching up, laughing, eating & drinking, and capturing all the love in between. We got to visit 2 of our favorite Nashville gems, Marathon Music Works and Pinewood Social (who graciously reserved a bowling lane for us). The whole day was filled with “firsts” for all of us, and we’ll forever mark it down as one of the best days yet. Evan and I definitely plan on going back to scoop up some Nashville weddings, and we can’t wait to meet up with these two again! We wish them all the best and have so much love for this charming city.
